The dynamic colour palette on these Jordan 1 Mid sneakers creates a design with an attention-drawing look. White appears only on the midsole, which has been filled with foam and Air cushioning to offer the wearer supreme comfort with each step. Beneath this feature is a University Blue outsole with the typical grip construction of the Air Jordan 1, which sees circular formations under the forefoot divided by five straight lines fanning across the middle from the medial to the lateral side. Supporting the heel is a set of bulky lug structures that further bolster the shoe's traction capabilities.

Meanwhile, the upper has premium black leather as its base. This begins on the toe box, which has lines of ventilation holes to add relieving aeration over the front part of the foot. It continues down the shoe’s flanks through the midfoot panels, which taper to a narrow band that runs around the back of the foot. More dark tones occur on the laces and inside the sneaker, where they cover everything apart from the University Blue Jumpman logo printed onto the insole.

Most of the rest of this model is filled out in the same bold blue tone, from the forefoot mudguard and overlays to the eyestay and the heel counter. The overlay that wraps up around the back of the mid-top collar is also University Blue, as are the tongue and the label sewn into it. This last component is adorned with the shoe’s second Jumpman logo, this time in black. Elsewhere, Air Jordan Wings are imprinted into the lateral collar in black, and the sidewalls carry University Blue swooshes for a bold final flourish.
