Jordan 11 Retro Low

This suave Jordan 11 Retro Low is a low-top rendition of the fan-favourite Cool Grey high-top first released back in 2001. As such, it features a pair of sophisticated shades of grey, one of which can be found on the outsole where it covers the solid herringbone sections below the forefoot and heel. These work together with the see-through rubber that fills out the rest of the outsole to provide the wearer with a stable base to walk on. Through the translucent aspect of the sole unit, which is infused with a faint blue tint, it is possible to see a supportive but lightweight carbon fibre plate. Its grid pattern of light and dark grey tones combined with the white Jumpman in its centre give it a distinctive aesthetic that even shows up on the medial profile as the plate emerges from beneath the outsole. Just above it is a soft white midsole constructed of spongy Phylon foam and fitted with a full-length Air unit that makes the shoe incredibly comfortable to wear.

More sophisticated hues then decorate the outer, firstly via the Gunsmoke mudguard that wraps around the entire sneaker. This defining feature is formed of gleaming patent leather, for an eye-catching touch, and its wavy upper edge lies up against a luxurious nubuck quarter panel in the lighter shade of Medium Grey. Pale grey pieces of fabric make their way across this last section, looping back on themselves at the edge of the tongue to produce eyelets that the white laces can be threaded through. These thick, rope-style cords criss-cross over a Medium Grey nubuck-covered tongue with a branding patch sewn across its centre. Here, Gunsmoke text spells the words “Jordan” and “Jumpman” either side of a white Jumpman logo.

Inside, the shoe is lined with soft grey fabric, the material coating the back of the tongue, the inner walls and the sockliner. Another white Jumpman has been printed onto this last section below an additional but smaller one on the patch sewn into the back of the tongue. Jordan’s jersey number of 23 has been stamped onto the top of the heel where the inner lining reaches out from the topline to form a small tab. Then, just below it, a mini white Jumpman silhouette has been artfully embroidered into the centre of the Medium Grey nubuck heel panel, thus capping off this classic Jordan 11 colourway.
