The unique details on this Nike Air Force 1 Mid x Off-White™ give it an eye-catching, experimental look. The sole unit in particular has some one-of-a-kind features, firstly in the form of the dark green spiky panels that overlay the forefoot and medial midfoot of the otherwise grey outsole. While a couple of small pink patches can be seen on the underside of these sections, looked at from the side, they incorporate energetic lines of pink and blue. At the heel, the white midsole continues this unconventional construction, with its warped top edge creating an unusual wavy effect around the back of the shoe. It even has a window in its lateral side to show off the Air unit within.

Meanwhile, the upper is made of a mesh textile with an appealing grainy pattern produced by its mix of grey and white tones. Thick bands protect the seams between the different sections that make up this part of the shoe, bringing it added durability, while an extra set of grey Flywire laces are strapped across the top of the foot. These attach to two grey circular plates on each flank, just below which lie the sneaker’s transparent swooshes. Both are attached to the outer via white zigzag stitching at the front end and a band of white thread that is looped around the tail end, but only the lateral one has an orange tag emerging from it. This matches the bold tone of the zip tie hanging off the additional lacing, which is secured by a blue and green toggle at the front of the mid-top collar. Traditional white laces can be found underneath this, and an ankle strap featuring a reflective material and a mesmerising grid pattern wraps across the top of it. The ankle strap itself is connected to the heel overlay on the medial side, which contains the same chequered design, while a patch of Velcro holds it in place on the opposite flank.

The collar is made of soft white suede, which switches to a grey mesh as it moves over to the inner lining. Below this, the insole has a black hand graphic on the right foot and a face motif on the left, both shoes coming with a useful pull tab on the heel. This sits just above the heel panel, whose surface replicates the grainy look of the upper and has Nike Air branding sewn into it in grey thread. A translucent heel strip runs down from the panel’s bottom edge towards the midsole, before disappearing beneath the white piece of TPU that bolsters the back of the foot. Rounding out this alluring collaboration is the black text on the medial sidewall. It includes details like the names of both brands and the model, the location of Nike’s headquarters and finally the date that the first AF1 model came out, thus honouring the heritage of this iconic sneaker.
